With a background in the retail giants Zalando, Zappos, and Walmart, I've seen the fashion industry from different angles. However, it was my frustration with the neglect inclusivity that ignited my passion to create something truly exceptional.
The Forgotten Pillar of Big & Tall Fashion: Throughout my career, I witnessed how the big and tall strategy often took a backseat in the fashion world. It was disheartening to see that it was the first strategy to be scrapped when budget cuts or supply chain issues arose. When companies did manufacture big and tall clothing, it was usually made from subpar fabrics and offered limited choices. To make matters worse, the models representing these brands rarely resembled the customers they were supposed to serve. It was clear that big and tall fashion was often treated as a last priority.
The Birth of an Idea: These experiences left me wondering why the models couldn't look like the customers – beautiful, fashionable, and big and tall. What if we could create the perfect shirt for those with bigger bodies? With a vision in mind, I decided to leverage my industry knowledge, resources, and connections with factories to embark on a mission to redefine big and tall fashion.
Regent Row: A Blend of Luxury and Functionality: The name "Regent Row" was carefully chosen, inspired by the prestigious Savile Row and Regent Street in London. It signifies luxury and sophistication. Our journey began with the search for the ideal fabric that would not only be luxurious but also functional. We discovered a fabric that regulates temperature and incorporates phase-changing material, ensuring our clothing is comfortable year-round.
Perfect Fit Through Extensive Testing: We understood the importance of a perfect fit for bigger bodies. To achieve this, we conducted over 20 fit tests, making sure our shirts were tailored to perfection. Most brands take a size medium and stretch it to create larger sizes, resulting in droopy and ill-fitting clothes. At Regent Row, we use 2XL as our medium grade, ensuring that our shirts fit true to size for a more flattering look.
Quality Over Quantity: While our shirts may be priced higher than what you'd find at Walmart, Duluth, or Kohl's, this is by design. We refuse to compromise on quality.
